Members may report a power outage by calling 1-800-840-2957. Please have your account number and address available.

Members may also text their power outage. Your cell phone number must be listed in your account information to use this service. 

If you were signed up for outage texting under the previous program, please text STOP to cancel.

To sign up for our new texting service, text HOTEC to 1-800-840-2957. You will receive a "welcome" text. Reply HELP for more information.

Coming soon! We are working to add an outage map to the website. Check back for more information.

Heart of Texas Electric Cooperative Inc. was incorporated in 1937 to provide electricity to rural areas of Central Texas. The co-op has over 16,500 members and over 22,000 meters served by over 3,800 miles of line. The service territory of the cooperative spans across the following counties: Bell, Bosque, Coryell, Falls, Hamilton, McLennan and Milam.
