  3. Construction Specifications

    A Roadmap to Success

All projects must follow a specific guideline and we are here to help you understand that. As your member-owned cooperative, we will help you understand the process and the specifications of your project.

  4. Provide Document, Page or Volume Land Deed

Make sure to have proper, legal documentation showing ownership of the parcel of land we are going to be establishing power to. This is important for establishing Right of Way agreements and any other legal documents that will be filed in the new construction process.

  5. Schedule an Appointment with our Staking Team

Once all documentation is obtained and submitted, our team will contact you to work out a day and time to meet with one of our trained Staking Technicians at the new construction site. Once on site, the HOTEC Staker will work with you to determine the best way to establish power, mark any pole locations, and notify you if any Right of Way agreements need to be established.

  6. Submit All Paperwork and Payment

After the staking appointment is completed, any forms that were required need to be delivered to either our McGregor or Rosebud offices. Once that is done, you will receive an invoice that you can pay online, in person, or by mailing a check.

  7. The Powerline is Built

After verifying that payment has been processed, the job will be submitted to Texas 811, if needed, for a mandatory 48 hours to ensure the construction process does not impact other utilities in the area. When that is complete, the job is released to our crews and will be built within 30 business days.
